Fourteen Spotted Ladybird - Propylea quatuordecimpunctata The pattern on this beetle doesn&#039;t quite match the one in the beetle ID guide hat I used to identify it. But, judging from the photos of this species online, there appears to be some individual variability. Otherwise, I have the ID wrong.<br />

The pattern on this beetle doesn't quite match the one in the beetle ID guide hat I used to identify it. But, judging from the photos of this species online, there appears to be some individual variability. Otherwise, I have the ID wrong.

The 14-spotted ladybird is a small lady beetle, belonging to the family Coccinellidae. It is sometimes referred to by the common name 14-spotted ladybird beetle, or simply P-14.
