    Of interest here, is that there are several Dolophones species with turrets, two for example are D. turrigera and D. notacantha...I understand that it is not possible to identify Dolophones species from photos alone. Posted 4 years ago

The Turreted Wrap Around Spider

Dolophones turrigera is a wraparound spider in the family Araneidae. They hide in the day and make a web at night. The female when adult is 8 mm, the male 4-5 mm.
