  1. As far as I know, Melanoplus femurrubrum is not found in Australia. This looks a lot like Oxya sp. (rice grasshoppers). See what you think. Posted 4 years ago

    Also look it up on Brisbane insects
    The rice grasshopper is more of a Qld species and doesn’t seem to be that far south of the coast

      1. Niel it is a fully winged adult. Another difference between the creek grasshopper and the rice hopper is that the hind legs of the creek hopper have reddish colour around the knee joint and the other species is all green . Posted 4 years ago
