Cyanthus olla
the "eggs" actually contain the fungi's spores. they sit in the nest and wait for the rain. when rain comes, there are sort of coils under the eggs that spring and throw the eggs far away. how far? this 1-2 cm fungi can throw its spores to a distance of over 1 meter - about 100 times its size!

''Cyathus olla'' is a species of saprobic fungus in the genus ''Cyathus'', family Nidulariaceae. The fruiting bodies resemble tiny bird's nests filled with "eggs": spore-containing structures called peridioles.
