  1. I was stalking a Tataupa Tinamou in dry forest by the lake edge, when suddenly this delightful fellow appeared out of nowhere (as puffbirds often do), dropped to the ground to catch a prey and then very obligingly posed for a few seconds.
    Any day I see a new puffbird is an excellent day in my book :)

  3. Thanks Thibaud, I have discovered 'puffbirds'! I love to have new research and interesting reading. Had never heard of this group of birds before. Curious little birds in form. Having just spent a week trying to get one decent image of little wattlebirds here on the east coast of Australia, I have so much respect for bird enthusiasts/photographers - and especially such as yourself stalking and tracking within dense vegetation/canopy.
