Squirrel Nest (Drey)

Squirrel nests are made of leaves and twigs. They are located high up in a tree with the entrance being near the tree trunk. The inside of the nest is lined with soft materials and is fairly waterproof. Several squirrels may occupy the same nest.

Habitat: Mixed forest; this might be a red squirrel nest as they tend to nest in conifers more, while grey squirrels usually nest in deciduous trees. But, there are exceptions.
