  3. Wow! What a great capture! They were a lot more animated than the group I came across.
    There were around a dozen of them in small pile of rocks, in Teton National Park, WY
    They were very willing subjects as long as I didn't get any closer than 6 feet or so.

    1. Just for clarity, if you were refering to the video, it was not made by me. In the comment field you can simply paste any Youtube video URL and it will transform into a video player :) You can do this for JungleDragon photos and other things as well. Check the little help text below the "Save comment" button to learn more.

      The idea of these "smart URLs" is to enrich photos. This way people can not only see the photo, but perhaps also see the animal move or hear it. It's entirely optional, just a cool powertip I wanted to share :)

The hoary marmot is a species of marmot that inhabits the mountains of northwest North America. Hoary marmots live near the tree line on slopes with grasses and forbs to eat and rocky areas for cover.
