They are certainly some of nature's most eye-catching spiders. So vibrant. Beautifully presented here. It was a delight seeing some during trips to PA, a surprise as I'd wrongly assumed in the back of my mind such vibrant colours and forms are more readily seen say, down here in Australia. ''Araneus marmoreus'', commonly called the marbled orb-weaver is a species of spider belonging to the family Araneidae. It has a Holarctic distribution. The web is built low down in heathland and in woodland clearings.
