      if you catch them on flowers, you get the flower's color coming through - then it's extra pretty.

The False Apollo, "Archon apollinus" is a species of butterfly belonging to the Parnassinae Subfamily. Older individuals often lose their scales, especially on the forewings, and appear very transparent.
