  1. This photo is strange to me.
    Antennas do not have the look of Dictyoptera familly and they seem to be implanted from the shoulders !
    Don't you think it's a beetle? Chysomelidae?

    1. Definitely agree with you on this likely being a beetle. As for the antennae, I suspect they start in their normal position yet are tucked away and folded below the shield? Posted 4 years ago
      1. Yes, may be of genus Paropsis, with a black scutellum it could be P. lownei ?

          1. Claude's Paropsid suggestion looks good to me. I'll ping Martin Lagerwey though as he's writing the books on all these (and owns the site referenced by Claude).
            He's a lion in JD too. I'm sure most of his paropsids are here as well.
