Kite-tailed Robberfly (Machimus atricapillus) This small to medium-sized Robberfly (family Asilidae) is easy to miss, as it blends easily into the background, but it likes to bask in the sun, so as well as perching on low vegetation keeping an eye on exposed stone (in this instant, a gravestone) can reap rewards.<br />
