Moose (Alces alces) Scat
Like many animals, moose poop changes with the seasons. It can look like a wet patty or a pile of nuggets. It depends on what they eat and how much they drink. Moose are ruminants (they chew their food and then regurgitate it and chew it again), so their feces looks like it has been put through a blender, ie. it is uniform and consistent.
I'm not a poop expert, but I would assume the feces in the photo is from a moose eating more fibrous foods in the winter and not drinking much water.
**I have a fairly large collection of natural curiosities and decided to share some on JungleDragon. I have been collecting bits of nature for years and also have many friends who have shared things with me. Everything in my collection was ethically collected/harvested/sourced and is cruelty-free.
