    1. Hey this one got by me.... I'm pretty sure he's an Eastern Garter. Pretty friendly, patient little subject. I noticed his head sticking out of the leaves and he let me sit down next to him and slowly take all the leaves away.
      Took a few shots, just inches away... covered him back up and he never moved.

The Common Garter Snake is a snake indigenous to North America. Most garter snakes have a pattern of yellow stripes on a brown or green background and their average length is about 50 cm, maximum about 125 cm.
