  1. I don't know what happened to you, but your recent set of photos is of a breath-taking quality. They were already good, don't get me wrong, but I'm definitely noticing the boost. Care to share by what magic you are possessed now?

    PS: promoted.

    1. Hi Ferdi,
      Well I don't know exactly maybe a few things:
      * I went to a photo course
      * Learned to know my camera even better the last year (not only through the course)
      * Follow photographers on Flickr and Facebook and learn from them by watching their photos
      * Use the rule of third more often to get a more interesting composition
      * Be more critical on my own photos
      * Watch the behaviour of an animal
      Thanks for the promotion!
      Greetings Josine

      1. Let it be known that the leap you are making is hugely spectacular. I don't say that to please, I say it simply because it is true. The effort you are putting into it is paying of big time! Posted 8 years ago
        1. In September Ludo Sak and I will continue the photo course to improve further :-) Posted 8 years ago

The meerkat or suricate, ''Suricata suricatta'', is a small mammal belonging to the mongoose family. Meerkats live in all parts of the Kalahari Desert in Botswana, in much of the Namib Desert in Namibia and southwestern Angola, and in South Africa. A group of meerkats is called a "mob", "gang" or "clan". A meerkat clan often contains about 20 meerkats, but some super-families have 50 or more members. In captivity, meerkats have an average life span of 12–14 years, and about half this in the wild.
