  1. Oh how we long for this season to return to us :) Last weekend I went for my first macro walk of the year in a local forest. I came home empty-handed, I didn't even spot a single insect. Nature is about to explode in the coming weeks though, I'm sure. Posted 12 years ago

The western honey bee or European honey bee is the most common of the 7–12 species of honey bee worldwide. The genus name "Apis" is Latin for "bee", and "mellifera" is the Latin for "honey-bearing", referring to the species' production of honey.
