Sternbergia clusiana
Sternbergia clusiana are blooming "backwards": instead of blooming in lower-warmer places first, the bloom first in the highest coolest elevations, and continue to lower places with time.
the Sternbergias on the slopes of Mount Tabor - about 350 m above sea level - are the last ones to bloom in Israel.
"Sternbergia clusiana" is a bulbous flowering plant in the family Amaryllidaceae, subfamily Amaryllidoideae, which is sometimes used as an ornamental plant. It has greenish-yellow flowers which appear in autumn.
