    1. Yes indeed, these have scales (that can rub off). I'll try getting a close-up next time I see one with scales. The antennae can curl and straighten out again - I have series of one critter with some images curled, some straight. Posted 4 years ago

Pogonognathellus longicornis is a cylindrical Springtail (Collembola: Entomobryomorpha) in the family Tomoceridae. It is characterized by its extremely long anennae, longer even than its congener Pogonognathellus flavescens.
