The Carolina Chickadee is a small passerine bird in the tit family Paridae. It is often placed in the genus ''Parus'' with most other tits, but mtDNA cytochrome ''b'' sequence data and morphology suggest that separating ''Poecile'' more adequately expresses these birds' relationships . The American Ornithologists' Union has been treating ''Poecile'' as distinct genus for some time already.

Was thinking something along the lines of "light at the end of the tunnel", "sun follows rain", or something hopeful like that. Posted 4 years ago
"Americans call me a chickadee. But, the rest of the world calls me a tit, which makes the Americans giggle. What no one knows is that my name is actually Bob. I feel so misunderstood." Posted 4 years ago
The light of the morning sun
spreads it's glow on the dew,
warming the grasses and
all of Mother Earth's creatures too

As the day hearkens, the light chases away the darkness
the warmth of the sun, brings the songs of birds
in as fast as a run, to fill our ears and hearts
with sounds of unspoken words that can only be heard
by those that listen to the songs of birds
