Cabanis's spinetail (Synallaxis cabanisi)

  1. For some reason, this one is much trickier to photograph than most other Synallaxis spinetails, resolutely sticking to dense undergrowth. This is the shot I could manage, and it's a juvenile. Posted 4 years ago

Cabanis's spinetail is a species of bird in the family Furnariidae. The common name and Latin binomial commemorates the German ornithologist Jean Louis Cabanis.
