  1. Peruvian endemic number 9!
    This is definitely not the prettiest photo in the series, but one I'm very, very pleased about nonetheless. If you look up the species' eBird page, you will see that there are only 3 photos. As far as I can tell, those are the only photos on the internet of the species. And the fellow who took the other 2, Dan Lane, is one of the authors of "Birds of Peru"!

The large-footed tapaculo is a species of bird in the family Rhinocryptidae. It is endemic to Peru. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist montane forest.
