    1. Haha right?! This one isn't endemic but I was very pleased to find it because a) it's an adorable fluffball, b) as I said, I love that genus, c) it hadn't been reported from the area in 10 years and d) I think I saw one back in July, but I only caught a glimpse and could never be sure.
      Whereas this bird turned out to be very responsive to playback and hung out for 5 minutes just a few a meters away.
      Vindication! hahaha
