      1. True! It's interesting, I had no memory of seeing the female in the guidebook, though of course I knew what the male looks like. But the second I saw it, I just knew that's what it was. I kept watching it for a good long while, as the species supposedly often forms small flocks, but no luck... Posted 4 years ago

The tit-like dacnis is a small neotropical passerine bird found in southern Ecuador and Peru. In Spanish, it is known as "Azulito Altoandino". It is found in Andean montane scrub forests from 3000 m to 4600 m elevation.
