Goldfinch (Carduelis Carduelis) A common and popular bird, nevertheless you don&#039;t often get to see the juveniles up this close.<br />

Being very social birds the juveniles will soon join their parents in flocking with other Goldfinch (known as a Charm) and can therefore be difficult to single out. This one conveniently landed on a branch in a tree not far from me.<br />

A common and popular bird, nevertheless you don't often get to see the juveniles up this close.

The European goldfinch or goldfinch, is a small passerine bird in the finch family that is native to Europe, North Africa and western Asia. It has been introduced to other areas including Australia, New Zealand and Uruguay.
