Goldfinch (Carduelis Carduelis)
A common and popular bird, nevertheless you don't often get to see the juveniles up this close.
Being very social birds the juveniles will soon join their parents in flocking with other Goldfinch (known as a Charm) and can therefore be difficult to single out. This one conveniently landed on a branch in a tree not far from me.
Watch as a Charm of Goldfinch feed on Thistles earlier this summer:

The European goldfinch or goldfinch, is a small passerine bird in the finch family that is native to Europe, North Africa and western Asia. It has been introduced to other areas including Australia, New Zealand and Uruguay.
