A New Fan - literally! This male King Parrot arrived under a new patio cover and was super friendly. Had some flax seed in the fridge so I gave him some. To make the start of a cool day, following 42 Celsius days , even more special he pecked on our door window. I opened it and he came in side for a look around. What a gregarious chap! The Australian King Parrot aka muaiz is endemic to eastern Australia. It is found in humid and heavily forested upland regions of the eastern portion of the continent, including eucalyptus wooded areas in and directly adjacent to subtropical and temperate rainforest.
