      Actually, Israel is a meeting place of 3 different phytogeographic regions: Mediterranean, Saharo-Arabian and Irano-Turanian, with an "invasion" of a 4th region - Sudanian plants that can be found in the dead sea area and the Jordan Valley.
      so even though Israel is only about 20,000 Sq. Km, there are about 2600 native plants here (plus many invasive ones...).
      This Hypericum is unique to the Hermon-Lebanon mountains.
