We’re continuing our series highlighting some of the most fantastic body parts belonging to wildlife. Today, we are focusing on eyes! There are so many creatures with remarkable eyes that it was quite a struggle to choose which ones to feature today! #JungleDragon
Can you see that small, orange-ish dot on top of this lizard’s head? It’s a third eye! Called a parietal eye, it is located at the top of the head and is photoreceptive. So cool! {Eastern Fence Lizard (Sceloporus undulatus) spotted in Georgia, USA by Lisa Kimmerling} #Easternfencelizard #parietaleye #Sceloporusundulatus
