  1. Gorgeous flower! Yet the background also triggers me, in particular the orange lichen on the rocks. Was wondering if you have the habit of photographing lichens? Or not many there?

    Can be very difficult to ID, but would be very cool to see.

    1. I usually ignore lichens and such... but this time it was really impressive orange color, on the basalt rocks, so I did take one or 2. I think this lichen is of the Xanthoria sp., I'll ask around. Posted 4 years ago
      1. Great! Don't want to coerce you into extra work, but do want to share that you don't need to know the ID when posting lichens. Just having them posted from your region would be value in itself, as we have almost nothing there. So should you capture them, feel encouraged to share, also without ID. Posted 4 years ago
