Egyptian Goose I found this bird, that was part of a couple at a local San Antonio park along the San Antonio River.  This is also near the San Antonio zoo. I will post a companion photo to show the markings in the front. This link shows the likeness.<br />

Egyptian Goose

I found this bird, that was part of a couple at a local San Antonio park along the San Antonio River. This is also near the San Antonio zoo. I will post a companion photo to show the markings in the front. This link shows the likeness.

The Egyptian Goose is a member of the duck, goose and swan family Anatidae. It is in the shelduck subfamily Tadorninae, and is the only extant member of the genus "Alopochen".

Similar species: Ducks, Geese, Etc.
