Hungry Fossa
Wild fossas regularly visit the Kirindi accommodation to look for human food leftovers. In this scene, our guide wanted to showcase the enormous agility and strength of a fossa by attaching some chicken legs to a string.
It's quite an intimidating sight. Once bitten, the fossa does not let go. It can easily pull up its own weight by its teeth. I have several more photos of this scene, which I'll post later.

The fossa is a cat-like, carnivorous mammal that is endemic to Madagascar. It is a member of the Eupleridae, a family of carnivorans closely related to the mongoose family. Its classification has been controversial because its physical traits resemble those of cats, yet other traits suggest a close relationship with viverrids.
