The olive tanager, also known as Carmiol's tanager, is a species of bird traditionally placed in the family Thraupidae, though molecular evidence indicates it should be placed in Cardinalidae. This bird's natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and heavily degraded former forest.
