Late Oysters - Sarcomyxa serotina
These mushrooms had brownish, snarky green caps with yellow gills. The caps were about 2 cm wide, and they were somewhat cupcake-shaped. The gills were attached.
Habitat: I found a bunch of these little babies on yellow birch (Betula alleghaniensis) logs in a deciduous forest.

"Sarcomyxa serotina", commonly known as the late oyster, is a species of fungus in the family Mycenaceae. Fruit bodies grow as overlapping fan- or oyster-shaped caps on the wood of both coniferous and deciduous trees.
