  2. That's a wonderful sighting and shot. It clearly had something of urgency to say, I went to YouTube as curious as to its call...noisy squeakings! Very sweet how the ears seem to fold back at the same time. Posted 4 years ago
    1. Haha yes they would always get quite upset when someone walked by, and you could spot them by these squeaks before you even saw them. Then they would hop from branch to branch, getting progressively higher up in the trees, until they took off or I moved on. Posted 4 years ago

The brown-mantled tamarin, also known as the saddleback tamarin or the Andean saddle-back tamarin, is a species of tamarin from South America. It is found in Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru.
