Cocklebur Weevil (Rhodobaenus quinquepunctatus) I spent all summer hoping to see one of these on my cocklebur plants, and I ended up seeing it for the first time on Pluchea camphorata! <br />

  1. Lovely weevil and I love how you're so crazy about weevils :) Posted 4 years ago

    1. Thank you, Paul! I wasn't exactly pleased with my shots. I had to bend in an awkward position (to ensure the weevil didn't play dead and fall to the ground), and my health problems make that pretty difficult at times. :D Let's just say I was really DIZZY by the time I finished! 1. I'm sorry to hear about your heath problems Lisa, I still hope that your awkward position was worth it. Posted 4 years ago
        1. It most definitely was :) I get outside when I am able! I have been waiting on seeing this species all summer, and I was delighted! Posted 4 years ago
