
''Pompeius verna'', the little glassywing, is a species of butterfly of the family Hesperiidae. It is found in the eastern United States and southeast Canada, from central New England west to central Nebraska, south to northern Florida, the Gulf Coast and southern Texas.

Your individual seems to have quite a few more spots. I'm reasonably sure it's a Little Glassywing (Pompeius verna) instead. It has the spots as on your photo, as well as that golden egde on the wings. Posted 4 years ago
Small request is to update your titles and description to reflect the new ID. If we don't do that, people will come to this page searching for Euphyes vestris, yet get a different species instead. Would be confusing. Posted 4 years ago
