    1. I wonder if this is the same species:

      1. Good eye. That is very close! Posted 4 years ago
      2. Mmm, I'm not so sure, all the males I can see via on line sightings of Ernst's spider have very dark red legs and the abdomen distinct with dark red and white banding. (Unless mine is a juvenile of course with paler colours!). Interesting though, that both this one and mine were in genus Diaea which was revised in 2014 and they were both placed in differing genera. Tharrhalea pulleinei looks good for mine perhaps. Posted 4 years ago, modified 4 years ago
  2. I think that Ruth is correct with her identification. The size for male Tharralea pulleinei and my entry Australomisidia pilula male is the same at 4 mm. My one has much darker coloration but no dots . In Ruth‘s entry the dotting does show up and the colours are not as strong. I used the Find a spider guide to double check. 1. Excellent, thank you for checking, both of you :) Posted 4 years ago
  3. Lovely. If I were a female Tharrhalea I wouldn't hesitate a moment. Posted 4 years ago
  4. I heard recently there is still work to be done on this group. Very attractive crabbies nonetheless. Posted 4 years ago
