  1. This is a great avian behavioural moment captured! Currently, I have the usual trio of magpies, ravens and currawongs coming to the garden. They all seem to be on edge and fighting a lot more than usual - I'm guessing hormones are raging as it's spring and nesting season? Posted 4 years ago

The Pied Currawong is a medium-sized black passerine bird native to eastern Australia and Lord Howe Island. Known for its melodious calls, the species' name "currawong" is believed to be of indigenous origin.
