  1. Beatiufiul, magnificent too, and lined out on this near horizontal slightly slanting branch in the background. Amazing. Not easy to capture I bet, given the zoom. Did it have a predictable flight pattern? Posted 12 years ago
  2. Hi Ludo, no I did not have a predictable flight path, was in a boat with the 400 on a tripod coming around a bend. Saw the bird perched and barely had time to focus and burst shoot. Was very lucky! Posted 12 years ago

The yellow-crowned night-heron, is one of two species of night herons found in the Americas, the other one being the black-crowned night heron. It is known as the Bihoreau Violacé in French and the Pedrete Corona Clara in Spanish.
