I believe its blue wing and that the light doesn't sow gthe blue. But I am open to the idea. Posted 4 years ago

  That's a good point about the light. I don't know your location - but believe the blue-wing kookies are only up in the north of the country, not in NSW? Posted 4 years ago

The Laughing kookaburra

The laughing kookaburra is a bird in the kingfisher subfamily Halcyoninae. It is a large robust kingfisher with a whitish head and a brown eye-stripe. The upperparts are mostly dark brown but there is a mottled light-blue patch on the wing coverts.
