English Elm in autumn colours
This tree originally imported into England from central Europe in the middle ages was very common in England until the advent of Dutch Elm disease in the 1960s and 1970s which decimated the woodland killing well over 90% of all the trees. This tree is a survivor showing the yellow autumn colours. It is known as the English Elm (also field elm Ulmus minor "atinia"). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ulmus_minor_'Atinia'
