Pygmy describes animals or plants which are smaller than their typical group!
I found this buddy when I was searching for some small beetles or something under the leaves of Salvadora persica plant (We did not plant this mangrove species, must've got to us through bird dropping). There I saw this beauty, perched idle not moving a bit and it was such a tiny and cute site. Had hard time getting shots of it, but here is a record of the tiniest damsel I know. It is assumed to be under-studies due to its small size as per IUCN redlist summary.
''Agriocnemis pygmaea'' is a species of damselfly in the family Coenagrionidae. It is also known as wandering midget, pygmy dartlet or wandering wisp.
