Wanderer at my Home
I saw a dragonfly resting in my mom's kitchen garden. I decided to take a look. It was a Wandering glider dragonfly. This species of Dragonfly is known to migrate over several hundreds of kilometers of ocean stretch. This species is abundant throughout its range, the widest of any odonate species. This species is distributed throughout the globe except for Antarctica.
I was happy to cater this crazy traveler guest.
"Pantala flavescens", the Globe Skimmer or Wandering Glider, is a wide-ranging dragonfly of the family Libellulidae. This species and "Pantala hymenaea," the "Spot-winged Glider", are the only members of the genus "Pantala" from the subfamily Pantalinae. It was first described by Fabricius in 1798. It is considered to be the most widespread dragonfly on the planet.
