Cabbage Leather Coral - Lobophytum crassum

The Cabbage Leather Coral is a soft coral of the family Alcyoniidae. It has a soft, encrusting shape spread over the substrate. Its surface is marked with rather fine lobes of elongated and wavy shape, more or less high, giving the appearance of small walls. Its color is variable: gray, greenish, beige to light brown, yellow or pink. The retractable polyps are golden brown.
