Viviparous lizard
The eggs of the lacerta vivipara are stored inside the female body so when the mother goes sunbathing the eggs profit from this as well. This enables the Laverta Vivipara to live in colder regions where the sun is not hot or consistent enough to heat the sand where eggs are normally laid in.
The Laverta Vivipara has been renamed to Zootoca Vivipara.

The viviparous lizard or common lizard, "Zootoca vivipara", is a Eurasian lizard. It lives farther north than any other reptile species, and most populations are viviparous, rather than laying eggs as most other lizards do. It is the only species in the monotypic genus "Zootoca".
