  1. I've seen many of these as well last year during a hike on the Veluwe. They always seem to find their way to paved roads, probably because of the heat. Posted 12 years ago

"Anoplotrupes stercorosus", the dor beetle, is a species of earth-boring dung beetle belonging to the family Geotrupidae, subfamily Geotrupinae.
