We love this awesome photo of a Persian spider gecko (Agamura persica)! These geckos live in rocky, semi-desert regions of Iran, Pakistan, and Afghanistan, where temperatures fluctuate wildly from night to day and summer to winter. Persian spider geckos are primarily nocturnal, but can be active in daytime temperatures that reach up to 44 C (111 F)! One cool physical adaptation that they have is an immovable, well-defined eyelid. This eyelid acts kind of like a visor that shades their eyes from the sun! {Spotted in Iran by JungleDragon user, Mohammad Reza Ehssani} #JungleDragon #Persianspidergecko #Agamurapersica
