
Geranium Bronze (Cacyreus marshalli)
This was a lesson in 'never taking for granted what you're seeing'.
When I saw this butterfly in my sister's garden in Italy last year, I nonchalantly assumed it was a Long-tailed Blue, of which I already had photos and footage, so I didn't really take sufficient care with the few snaps I took.
It was only this summer I realised, this was a different butterfly altogether. What a silly billy.
