
Copper Underwing - Amphipyra pyramidoides
TL: ~25 mm. Shiny, grayish brown FW peppered with light brown, hair-like scales. Elliptical orbicular spot is outlined with white. Legs have black and white bands. Hosts: Trees and vines, such as birch, elm, oak, and Virginia creeper.
Habitat: Resting during the day on the side of a sugar house; adjacent to a mixed forest
