Young male of Heteropteryx dilatata, a species commonly known as Jungle Nymph, lives in Malaysia in nature, has wings, can fly and its body is covered with small spines. The bright green female is the heaviest stick insect in nature. The development of this phasmid species is very slow and they can live for more than two years from birth.
