Loquat_Tree - Eriobotrya japonica This is a very common tree here in San Antonio, and I can see atleast eight in my city block. This one if most magnificent since it is about 25 feet high, and as wikipedia describes, it has a rounded crown.  The fruit feeds a lot of the wildlife. The loquat is a species of flowering plant in the family Rosaceae, native to south-central China. It is a large evergreen shrub or small tree, grown commercially for its yellow fruit, and also cultivated as an ornamental plant.
