  1. A poor photo but it is such an awesome bird, and the one that gives its name (Paujil) to this sector of the national park, so I felt I had to share it:)
    As with other curassows, they are naturally pretty tame birds, which means they've been exterminated by hunters throughout most of their range, and these days can only be found in remote unsettled tracts of forest or in protected areas where they're not hunted.

The Razor-billed Curassow is a species of bird in the Cracidae family. It is found throughout a large part of the Amazon Rainforest, though largely restricted to regions south of the Amazon River.
